Elegushi Beach, Lagos. (October 2024)

We took another bold step toward our shared vision of a sustainable environment and pristine coastlines by hosting a beach cleanup. With the unwavering support of our incredible volunteers and partners — Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), and Sol Beach @solbyboxmall —we covered a significant portion of the shoreline, removing harmful waste that endangers marine life and mars the beauty of our beaches.

Our collective efforts paid off, with an impressive total of 134.51kg of waste removed.

This cleanup was not just about removing debris but also about spreading awareness. We shared valuable insights on proper waste management and its critical role in safeguarding our oceans. The dedication of every participant exemplified the power of community action and environmental stewardship.

This accomplishment proves what’s possible when we unite for a common cause. Together, we are creating a lasting impact, one cleanup at a time.

Elegushi Beach, Lagos. Sept. 2024

Today, we made a remarkable contribution to restoring the beauty of the marine environment by clearing a large portion of the beach that was heavily polluted with waste, including nylon, plastics, Styrofoam, single-use plastics, flip-flops, and a substantial number of glass bottles.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the incredible efforts of our volunteers and partner organizations — Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) , @solbyboxmall , @lasusdg @limahadejokefoundation. Together, we successfully cleared 1,967.98 kg of waste from the beach! This feat is not just a win for us, but for the entire community and our planet. Every piece of waste removed brings us one step closer to cleaner oceans and healthier ecosystems.

This accomplishment was made possible through teamwork, dedication, and a shared passion for creating a cleaner, healthier world for future generations.
