Our founder, Chief Olalekan Bakare was a Special Guest of honour at the launch of The 2024 Dawn Project Competition, a Sustainable Environmental Education and Knowledge Trust Ltd committed to raising awareness, advocate and educate the public particularly young people on the importance of environmental consciousness and using unique approach to the climate crisis aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Nos. 13 – Take Urgent Action to Combat Climate Change, by utilizing the creative arts (spoken, written, musical, visual, and/or movement) to express issues and seek creative
solutions.

In his goodwill message on the theme of the competition, “Oceans Of Opportunity: Preserving Today
For Tomorrow,” he emphasized the need to think broadly, think what betters the planet and what technology initiative can be embraced in preserving marine life and the planet in general.

Other highlights of the events included keynote addresses by the Hon. Commissioner of Health, Lagos State, Prof Akin Abayomi; the British Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. Johnny Baxter elaborating on the importance of sustainability of the environment, a tour of the water side amongst others.
